What happens to your details.

The short version: I collect your name and email so I can tell you when the book is ready, and that is all I do with them.

What I collect

When you reserve a copy, the form asks for your first and last name and your email. Company, role, city and how you heard about the book are optional, and you can leave them blank. The form also records the date, a short code for where the link came from (for example, the conference banner) and your browser type, so I can tell whether the QR code is working.

Where it goes

Your details are written to a private Google Sheet that only I can open. No third-party mailing-list service, no advertising platform, no data broker. The list is never sold or shared. The only exception is the publisher, who needs names and addresses to fulfil signed first editions when the book ships.

What I send you

One confirmation when you reserve, and one message when the book is ready. If you ticked "Keep me posted", I may also send occasional notes about launch events and my writing. Reply to any of them with "stop" and I will take you off the list the same day.

Analytics

If analytics are turned on, this site uses Plausible, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. There is no tracking pixel and nothing follows you to other sites.

Your rights

Email hello@richorkingbook.com at any time to see, correct or delete what I hold about you. I will do it by hand and confirm when it is done.
